Adrigole finished off the year on a high note with a good victory over Kinsale in the Division 4 final at Dunmanway. Kinsale
started brightly, but a combination of poor shooting and a great save from William D kept Adrigole in the game. Some good scores
from Eamon Jer, Kevin Jer and a fortuitous goal from Kenneth O'Neill left it 1-6 to 02 to Adrigole at half time. Adrigole increased
their lead early in the second half, Thomas Joe chipping in with two fine points from the left wing. Kinsale came back in to the game
scored a goal to reduce the deficit. But thanks to fine defending from Shane Joe, Adrigole managed to hang on to win the Intermediate

Garnish were the better team in the opening half and were leading by 1-06 to 0-02 at the break. Adrigole
came back well in the second half thanks to a Fergus Carey goal, and led by two points at one stage. Garnish

Aghabullogue got off to the better start and went into a 3-1 lead after ten minutes. The rest of the half was dominated
by Adrigole thanks to good defensive work from Liam Harrington and Chris Glen and some fine shooting from Gerard Green,
Brendan and Kevin Jer. Adrigole rattled off seven unanswered points, to lead by 8-3 at the break.
The gap could have been larger,
but after a great run, Kevin Goggin's goalbound effort was was well saved. Aghabullogue came back
strongly in the second half and were awarded a penalty after one of their forwards was taken down in the box. William D made a
fine save from the spotkick, but a second penalty was awarded which they scored. The gap was
reduced to a single point following two more scores from Aghabullogue, but Adrigole responded well and a fine goal from Brendan Jer
and a point from Kenneth O'Neill put some daylight between the sides. With only a minute left to play, the game was held up for
almost an hour after a serious back injury to one of the Aghabullogue players. After the resumption, Adrigole managed to hang on to

got off to a slow start in the first half, but got in to the game thanks to some fine points from Pat Batt and Kevin Goggin. The half time score was Adrigole 0-09, CTB 0-08. Adrigole were up against it in the second half, but were unlucky not to get a draw and force extra-time.
Overall, it was a good performance from Adrigole who were missing a few
players, but once again there were some fine performances from the younger

Adrigole were trailing by 2 points in the second half when they were awarded
a penalty. Thomas Joe despatched the spot-kick to put Adrigole into the
lead. The teams traded points before Glengarriff had a chance with a 14-yard free, but the Adrigole defence
managed to deflect the ball over the bar. Adrigole then went down the field
to score the insurance point to secure a great result for a younger Adrigole

between Adrigole and "The Town". Adrigole laid the foundations for a
great victory with a period of dominance at the start of each half.
Kevin Jer opened the scoring with two trademark points. In the
sixth minute Adrigole extended their lead, when Brendan Jer played a
beautiful pass which found Tim O'Shea in space to finish to the Town
net. Lorcan Harrington opened the scoring for Town, before Kevin
Jer got his third point. Town began to dominate for the rest of the
first half, but some mighty defending from Adrigole's backs ensured ensured
they went in at half time leading by three points. Adrigole started the second half in whirlwind fashion with points from
Kevin Jer and Aidan Cremin. Darragh Carey and Barry Goggin came forward to
kick over inspirational scores to leave Adrigole leading 1-7 to 0-3.
Town began to come in to the game driven on by Andrew O'Sullivan, Lorcan
Harrington and Donagh B O'Sullivan. Adrigole hit back with points from
Tim O'Shea and a massive effort from Brendan Jer. Again it was up to a
fearless backline to keep the Town at bay, with Shane Joe a rock in the
heart of the defence. It was a nerve-wracking finish, but Adrigole managed to hang on to a four
point lead on a final score of Adrigole 1-9, Castletownbere 0-8, and set up
a county semi-final against Kildorrery next Sunday. This will be a
repeat of the historic1979 Intermediate Final which Adrigole won to claim
their first county title. Once again thanks to the huge amount of loyal supporters who turned out
to cheer on the lads. Also, a thanks to the Garnish club for having the
