Adrigole GAA held their AGM last Friday with a large crowd in attendance. Detailed reports from the Secretary Noreen O’ Grady and Treasurer Susan O’ Sullivan reflected a very positive and busy year both on and off the field for the club in 2022. The election of officers was conducted by Club Vice-President Pearse Murphy and the following officers were elected for 2023. Chairman Kevin Green, Vice Chairman Michael Joe O’Sullivan, Secretary Noreen O’Grady, Assistant Secretary Sean O’ Shea, Treasurer Susan O’ Sullivan, Assistant Treasurer Peter O’ Sullivan, Registrar Fergus Carey, Culture Officer Orla Sullivan, Children’s Officer Darragh Carey, PRO Joseph Blake, Healthy Club Officer Catriona O’ Donoghue and committee members Anne Marie O’ Sullivan, Sean O’ Shea and Micheál D O’ Sullivan. William D O’ Sullivan was elected county board delegate.
Adrigole GAA held their annual club mass last Friday night. The club would like to thank Fr Martin and all those who took part and helped in any way to make the mass such a special occasion.
Well done to the Adrigole players and those from Adrigole who were part of the management team, as Beara defeated Valley Rovers in the Premier 2 County Under 16 final played in Bishopstown last Saturday night on a scoreline of Beara 2-10 Valley Rovers 0-9. It was great to see 9 Adrigole players starting the game.
The Beara Under 17 final between Caha Óg and Castletownbere will take place this Sunday December 11th at 2pm in Castletownbere.
Well done to Neilan (Matt) O’ Sullivan who came 2nd in the Sciath na Scol skills county finals in Pairc Ui Chaoimh last week. The winners get to play with all the other finalists of the other counties that took part, in a match in Croke Park on All-Ireland Final day next year.
There will be a collection for Cork Penny Dinners/Simon Community again this year.Collection date will be Sunday 11th of December between 4-6pm at the gym in Adrigole GAA pitch.They are currently looking for, dry foods, such as pasta, cereals etc, men and women's toiletries, practical items for teenagers and children such as flash lights, toys etc, warm clean clothes, duvets, pillows etc. This is such a worthy cause and all donations would be greatly appreciated
The 2023 County Championship draws take place this Sunday at county convention in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Adrigole will be a 2nd seed in the Intermediate A football championship.
