The ‘Ireland Lights Up’ initiative continued last week in partnership with RTE’s Operation Transformation, Get Ireland Walking and the Irish Life “My Life” app. ‘Ireland Lights Up’ encourages GAA clubs across the 32 counties to turn on their floodlights and open their walking tracks so their community can come together to walk and talk in a safe environment during the dark winter evenings. Adrigole GAA are hosting the “Ireland Lights Up” walking initiative every Wednesday and now every Friday from 7pm to 8pm, and running to the conclusion of Operation Transformation on March 1st. Once again, Irish Life are running the Healthy Clubs Steps Challenge through their MyLife health app. Challenge kick-off is

Wednesday 11th January and will run for five weeks until midnight on the 15th of February. The challenge will be across the four provinces, each club that hits the 4,000km target will be included in their province’s prize draw for 1 of 3 O’Neills Vouchers for their club. Please register on the My Life by Irish Life app, once you register, all steps count anywhere in the world so not confined to walking the pitch in Adrigole and it is open to members and non-members.

Tickets for the Adrigole GAA monthly club draw are now on sale for 2023. Tickets are again €25 and with 12 monthly draws taking place along with a Christmas bonus draw. The draw, which started in 1984 has provided much needed funding to Adrigole GAA over the years in both the day to day running costs of the club, and the capital investment the clubs has made throughout the years in improving the facilities in the club.
