There is only 2 weeks to the start of the annual Adrigole festival on Thursday August 3^rd . Following on from the very successful 5K run that was held last year, a 5 mile race will be held on the bank holiday Saturday, August 5^th at 5pm. The race will be held in conjunction with Beara Athletics Club and there will be prizes in different categories. The race will be open to those who are over 16 only and there will be a €20 charge to enter. The race will form part of the Beara Athletic Club Summer league series that will take place over July and August, with races held in Bere Island, Eyeries, Adrigole and Glengarriff. The Ceilí will gain kick of the weekend on the Thursday night. The Aidan Cremin memorial 7-a-side tournament will take place on the Friday evening and on the Sunday the family fun day will take place. Sunday week, July 30^th will see Adrigole commence their Intermediate Football championship campaign. Adrigole have been drawn in a group with Aghabullogue, Gabriel Rangers and Glenville. Adrigole’s first game is against Aghabullogue at 7.30pm on Sunday July 30^th in Ballingeary.
