Adrigole GAA are again participating in the Cork GAA Rebels Bounty draw. With a total prize fund of €500,000 Euro, there will be 12 monthly draws with 30 cash prizes each month including a first prize in December of €100,000. Sales will close for 2023 on Thursday March 30th, when the draws for January, February and March will take place, with 90 prizes including 3 first prizes of €20,000 will be won on the night. Anyone who wishes to enter can do so by logging online at www.gaacork.ie/rebelsbounty People wishing to join or renew can also do so by contacting draw co-ordinators Peter O’Sullivan 086-2253932 or Joseph Blake 087-9865827. Anyone who purchases a club draw ticket and a Rebels bounty will be entered into a special club draw during the year. The Rebels Bounty (and previous to that, the Cork GAA county board clubs draw) has provided much needed finance to the club over the years. This finance has provided for both the day to day running of the club, and also the vital capital investment in the club. In recent years investments like the addition of the walkway, and the installation of the floodlights have been of great benefit to the GAA club and the wider community, and last year the club installed a new scoreboard.

Adrigole travelled to Millstreet last Sunday morning, to take take on the home side in round 2 of the county football league. After a bright start from Adrigole and goals from Cormac Carey and Gerald O’ Shea, it was Millstreet that emerged the winners 4-10 to 2-7. Adrigole’s next game in the league is away to Kinsale on Sunday March 26th.

The Adrigole Junior B team had their first outing of the season when they made the trip to Dunmanway last Friday night to take on Doheny’s in Division 3A of the Beara/Carbery Football league. In a game played in difficult conditions it was home side that won out on a score line of Doheny’s 4-6 Adrigole 2-8 with the Adrigole goals coming from Kevin Goggin and Eoin Green O’ Sullivan.  Adrigole’s next game is at home to Clann na nGael on the weekend of March 25th.

Caha Og teams had 2 games at the weekend. On Saturday the Caha Og Under 18 team defeated Castlehaven on scoreline of Caha Og 6-13 to Castlehaven 3-12. On Sunday the under 14 team travelled to Castletownbere to take on the home side and it was Castletownbere that emerged winners on a scoreline of Castletownbere 4-6 to Caha Og 1-9.
