Adrigole GAA held our annual golf classic over the weekend. Thank you to all the sponsors , those who played in the classic and those who helped out in anyway in making the event such a great success. Special mention to the sub-committee for who did a great job is having everything organised. Thank you also to Glengarriff Golf Club for having the course in such great condition and for all their help over the weekend . The prize giving was Sunday night in the Golf Club and the winners were as follows 1st Eillen, Jimmy and David O’ Sullivan 2nd Jer Flynn, Denis O’ Connor and John O’ Leary. 3rd Patrick (Mick) O’ Sullivan , Finbarr Jer O’ Sullivan and Kieran Green O’ Sullivan 4th Denis Harrington, Eamonn and Sean (Mike Den) O’ Sullivan 5th Fergal Carey , Aine and John O’ Donoghue 6th Declan Dunne , James Harrington and Cormac Carey 7th Martin Jer O’ Sullivan, Patrick (Mick) O’ Sullivan and Mark Funston. 8th Joe Holland, Becky O’ Sullivan and Kathlin Bilious. Adrigole hosted Dromtarriffe in Round 6 of the County Football League last Friday. Adrigole lead 1-8 to 2-3 at half time with the goal coming from Ben O’ Sullivan. In was a a game that ebbed and flowed in the second half it was Dromtarriffe that emerged winners 2-10 to 1-11. Adrigole’s next game is against Mitchelstown in Coachford on Tuesday May 21st at 8pm. Adrigole Junior B team had a home game against Dohneys last Sunday in the Beara /

Carbery league. Adrigole lead 0-8 o 0-5 at half time . Despite Dohneys getting 2 goals in the second half Adrigole emerged the winners 0-17 to 2-9 . Adrigole travel to Durrus this Saturday May 18th at 7pm to play Muintir Bhaire. The Caha Og under 16 team recorded a 6-17 to 6-13 win over St James in the league last Saturday. The Caha Og Minor team will take on Carbery Rangers this Thursday May 16th in Adrigole at 7pm. Last Saturday morning saw a large crowd take part in the Darkness in Light walk in Adrigole. Thank you to all those who organised the event and those who took part.
