Adrigole made a winning start to their County Intermediate A Football Championship campaign with a 3 point win over Dromtarriffe last Saturday evening in Ballyvourney. In what

was a tight game in the first half , the teams were level 1-5 to 0-8 at half time, with the Adrigole goal coming from Ben O’Sullivan . Ben added 2 more goals in 2 nd half as Adrigole won on a score of Adrigole 3-10 Dromtarriffe 0-16. Adrigole play Kildorrery in Round 2 on Sunday August 18th .

The draw for the Beara Junior B Championship took place recently. Adrigole have been drawn in the semi final against Garnish while Glengarriffe and Castletownbere will play in the other semi final.

The annual Adrigole GAA Festival will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend. What started out with a family fun day in 2012 has evolved into a 4 day festival. A challenge game in memory of Jason O’ Shea will be played on the Thursday night following the Under age blitz. A Ceili will close off the Thursday night. Friday will see the 3rd annual Aidan Cremin Memorial 7-a-side competition taking place beginning at 6.30pm . Saturday will see the very popular Tag Rugby blitz taking place at 1.30pm . Saturday will see a new start time of 2.30pm for the 5 mile run, which is part of the Beara A.C summer series, and a new event this year will see a ladies blitz taking place at 5pm. Sunday will see the family fun day

beginning at 1.30pm with a wide variety of events taking place for all ages taking place, and there will musical entertainment in the festival marquee over the weekend. The duck race again will play an important part over the weekend with heats taking place over the weekendand with the final taking place on Sunday. Ducks are currently on sale from local businesses and from club members.
